Abstract
Introduction
Deep vein thrombosis is a common condition in medical practice, one that is of particular importance due to its potentially fatal complications, such as pulmonary embolism, and highly disabling complications, such as post-phlebitic syndrome.
Objective
To evaluate the relationship between the results of a risk stratification questionnaire and the diagnosis by Doppler ultrasound in patients with deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremities.
