Abstract
Sleep is one of the basic needs that plays an important role in the growth and development of toddlers. Inadequate sleep duration may affect metabolism, growth hormone production, and appetite, thereby influencing the nutritional status of toddlers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between sleep duration and nutritional status among toddlers at Kamboja Integrated Health Post, Dawuhan Wetan, Lumajang. This study employed a correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population and sample consisted of all toddlers at Kamboja Integrated Health Post, Dawuhan Wetan, Lumajang, totaling 37 children, selected using a total sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were a sleep duration questionnaire and anthropometric measurements. The results of the Spearman's rho statistical test showed a p-value of 0.000 with α = 0.05. Since the correlation value was less than α, H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted, indicating a significant correlation between sleep duration and nutritional status among toddlers at Kamboja Integrated Health Post, Dawuhan Wetan, Lumajang. Therefore, parents are expected to pay attention to and fulfill their children's sleep needs according to their age in order to support optimal growth and development and maintain good nutritional status.
