Avaliação da escuta de adolescentes puérperas que passaram por internação em hospital público do Distrito Federal
By PRISCILA DO VALE NOGUEIRA and Benedito Rodrigues dos Santos.
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the care provided to postpartum adolescents in healthcare services. To this end, pregnant adolescents admitted to a public hospital in the Federal District were contacted. Participants who agreed to join the research signed the Informed Consent Form and were interviewed during hospitalization in a flexible format. The interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed, and analyzed according to the thematic analysis method proposed by Braun and Clarke (2006). A pattern of multifaceted institutional violence was identified, manifested by failures in communication and qualified listening, as well as psychological and physical violence. The rare instances of positive support were sporadic and acted as a counterpoint to a predominant logic of disregard. It is concluded that the intersection of adultocentrism, institutional racism, and gender violence structures a care scenario that victimizes adolescent postpartum women.
