Abstract / Summary
This systematic review and meta‑analysis evaluates site‑specific survival and complications of extra‑oral craniofacial implants in irradiated and non‑irradiated patients. A comprehensive search of PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library was conducted in accordance with PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Primary outcomes include implant survival by anatomical site (auricular, orbital, nasal), and secondary outcomes include the effect of radiotherapy on implant survival. Complications such as peri‑implant soft tissue reactions, skin inflammation, prosthetic maintenance, and implant loss were recorded. The findings aim to guide clinicians in treatment planning and long‑term follow‑up of craniofacial implant patients.
