Method for bringing asynchronous cardiotocographic data streams into a unified form
By Batirbek Samandarov and Navruzbek Safoboev.
Abstract
In cardiotocographic monitoring, FHR and UC signals may arrive asynchronously from different sources, while packets in the network may be delayed, lost, or duplicated. The paper proposes a method for bringing such streams into a device- independent common time grid. Samples are placed according to the sequence number, each node is assigned a status code, and frames are emitted with bounded latency. The complexity of the algorithm per sample is O(1). The method was evaluated on 20 real CTG recordings selected from the CTU -UHB database under two simulated network scenarios. In the proposed method, all placed valid values fell into their correct time nodes. When samples were concatenated in order of arrival, the average FHR-UC shift reached 7.48 s in the unstable network. At D = 5 s, data completeness was 99.28%.
