Diabetes mellitus complicates recognition of myocardial infarction through heterogeneous symptoms, comorbid illness, and delayed presentation. The relationship between diabetes and absence of chest pain differs between populations. This review examined presenting symptoms, diagnostic challenges, and associated clinical outcomes.
