Abstract
Background
Short birth intervals are a well-documented, modifiable risk factor for child death in low- and middle-income countries, yet nationally representative evidence from Ghana's most recent Demographic and Health Survey has not been fully examined. This study assessed the association between the preceding birth interval and under-five mortality using the 2022 Ghana Demographic and Health Survey.
