Abstract
Background
Living donor kidney transplantation improves outcomes for eligible patients with kidney failure, yet living donation remains limited. Public awareness about the possibility of living donation may not be sufficient to translate into willingness to donate. This study evaluated knowledge, attitudes, personal exposure, perceived barriers, motivators, and financial considerations associated with willingness to participate in living kidney donation among adults in San Antonio, Texas.
