Abstract / Summary
Aims Describe referral patterns and consultation completion rates among veterans following the CTBIE. Methods We explored the frequency and compliance with recommended follow-up consultations among veterans.. We explored potential predictor variables such as sex, race, ethnicity, dizziness and pain disruption. Results Veterans were referred for a “Psychological Disorder”(94.7%), followed by “Pain other than headache”(64.6%) and “Auditory”(67.5%). In general, a high number of consultations were completed (>85%), except for “Substance Abuse” (75%) and “Pain” (53.1,Sex the severity of hearing difficulty, and dizziness severity increased likelihood of a referral. Conclusions Veterans with disruptive dizziness completed the majority of the referrals they received. Future research should explore the sensitivity and specificity of the CTBIE and the associated clinical examinations.
