Abstract / Summary
Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that can affect young adolescents and is associated with various cardiovascular complications. Lifestyle factors, such as diet, physical activity, sedentary behavior, sleep/rest patterns, and nutritional status, can increase the risk of hypertension in adolescents. This literature review aims to identify and describe the relationship between lifestyle and the risk of hypertension in adolescents. This study used a systematic literature review method. The literature search was conducted through the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases. The study results indicate that adolescent lifestyle factors, including diet, physical activity, sedentary behavior, sleep patterns, and nutritional status, are associated with blood pressure and the risk of hypertension.
