Therapeutic evaluation of tila taila poorana and yashtimadhu taila poorana in parikartika: An ayurvedic clinical study

Introduction

Parikartika, a complication of improper Virechana and Basti characterised by Kartanavat Shoola, Gudadaha and Anilasanga, correlates closely with Acute Fissure-in-Ano. Surgical management carries risks of hematoma and anal incontinence, besides cost and hospitalisation, so a safe outpatient alternative is needed. This study compared Tila Taila Poorana and Yashtimadhu Taila Poorana in Parikartika.
