Assessment of haemoglobin levels among female undergraduate students in science and arts streams in gajwel, telangana

Abstract: Haemoglobin concentration is an important indicator of health among adolescentgirls and young women.

Objective

To assess and compare haemoglobin levels among femaleundergraduate students enrolled in Science and Arts programmes in Gajwel, Telangana.Methods: This cross-sectional comparative study included 160 female students aged 17–20years (Science, n = 100; Arts, n = 60) from degree colleges in Gajwel, Siddipet District.Haemoglobin was measured using a Quick-Check Plus Hb instrument. The manuscriptreports descriptive statistics, Welch independent-samples t-tests and a two-way analysis ofvariance (ANOVA) examining age, academic stream and their interaction.
