By Samia Elfékih and Jason K. Axford.
Abstract
This record contains the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the Jeddah Wolbachia Facility, part of the Jeddah Integrated Dengue Biocontrol Programme, a dengue vector biocontrol programme commissioned and funded by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Saudi Arabia. The record holds two sets. Set A: Original SOPs (11 documents). Written by Jason Axford (now at DAFF, previously at the University of Melbourne) under the technical direction of the Programme Director, Dr Samia Elfekih. They are deposited here unchanged. Set B: Illustrated SOP Compendium (1 document). A single consolidated manual prepared by Dr Samia Elfekih, Programme Director and Principal Investigator. It brings the original SOPs together in one volume, revised and updated to reflect how the facility operates in Jeddah. The SOPs cover Aedes aegypti rearing, Wolbachia line maintenance and outcrossing, quality control, and related facility operations. Funding: King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).
