Single-Beat ECG Template Generation: From RR-Interval to a Fiducial Point-Informed Approach
By Silvia Becker, Benedikt Berger, Dirk Westermann and 4 others.
Abstract
In certain electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis scenarios, acondensed representation of a 10 s 12-lead recording that minimizesinter-beat variability is required. Applications include analyzingassociations between amplified P-wave duration and low-voltageextent, outcome after pulmonary vein isolation, and new-onset atrialfibrillation. This work extends an existing template generation method basedon RR-intervals for extracting the single heartbeats, therefore calledRR-based approach. The proposed template generation utilizesthe information of P-wave onset and T-wave offset in the ECGsnippet extraction and is therefore called PT-based approach.
