Abstract / Summary
Registered protocol (v1.0) for a pre-registered comparative documentary policy analysis of what the health systems of South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore formally require and provide for gender-affirming hormone therapy and surgery. Requirements are coded by the level that imposes them: legal/regulatory, professional, payer or institutional. Non-English sources are extracted in the original language by native-language researchers, and English-language sources by the author. Every source is verified independently. The study is descriptive. It makes no recommendation between models and computes no ranking or composite score. This record is the Zenodo copy of the registration package filed on the Open Science Framework (see Related works). It contains the protocol, codebook, search strings, ethics statement and review log. It contains no study data. The dataset will be published in a separate Zenodo record, with its own concept DOI, as each jurisdiction is released. The study is unfunded. Declared interests are set out in protocol §21.
