Abstract / Summary
Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) originated through experimental and clinical milestones in the mid-20th century, culminating in the first successful human procedures in the 1960s when this author had started his medical education. Authors brotherand author himself underwent CABG for triple block arteries in 2002 and August 2005 respectively in Delhi, hospitalized forabout a week and full recovery to back to work after a month. In the last decade multi-vessel bypass surgeries are simple throughmini-invasive techniques. Wounds heal faster and patients can get back to daily routines within a week.This author has witnessed Aortic, mitral, or tricuspid valve replacement or repair, Left atrial Myxoma excision and experiencedon self the Rotational atherectomy through a small incision. The ultimate in minimally invasive least painful, fastest recovery,with high-precision Robotic heart surgery by Dr Sathyaki Nambala, Apollo Hospital, Bangalore between 2020 and 2024. In 2026,half a dozen Cardiac hospitals in Bengaluru are bidding Goodbye to open surgery!Materials and Methods: This article is an analysis of three Intervention cardiology cases followed by this author between 2020and 2024 despite being in the health profession for about 52 years. First a Left Atrial Myxoma excision through Robotic surgery,second an autobiography of this author, a Post-CABG (CABG in August 2005 in New Delhi) Angiography and PercutaneousTransluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) with the use of a Rotablator in February 2023, and third a case of RoboticTranscatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) in January 2024.Outcomes: All three cases had miraculous painless recovery and back to work within a week.
