Abstract
Ayurveda describes Dooshi Visha (latent or residual toxicity) as a weakened form of poison that remains in the body after its potency has diminished and may produce disease when suitable conditions arise. The concept is of particular interest in the present era, where individuals are repeatedly exposed to environmental pollutants, pesticides, occupational chemicals, and cosmetic substances.
