Abstract / Summary
ABSTRACT Unilateral pulmonary oedema is a rare and frequently under-recognized manifestation of acute cardiogenic pulmonary oedema. Its unilateral radiographic appearance often mimics pneumonia, leading to diagnostic delay, and inappropriate initial management. Acute severe mitral regurgitation is among the most important cardiac causes of unilateral pulmonary oedema, particularly when associated with eccentric regurgitant jets directed toward the pulmonary veins.
