Abstract
Background and Aims: Various inflammatory biomarkers, including neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS) and systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), have been shown to predict cancer prognosis and perioperative outcomes. This study compares the effects of total intravenous anaesthesia (TIVA) (Propofol) and inhalational anaesthesia (isoflurane) on perioperative inflammatory biomarkers, prognostic indices and recovery outcomes in patients undergoing ovarian cancer surgery. Understanding how anaesthetic technique influences perioperative inflammatory responses may help optimise recovery and inform perioperative management in patients undergoing ovarian cancer surgery.
