Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: Bodily Distress Disorder (BDD) presents a significant challenge in clinical practice due to the persistence of symptoms despite psychopharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment and repeated patient visits to multiple health facilities. The etiology of BDD is postulated to involve a complex interplay of psychoimmunological factors, dietary sensitivities, and attentional biases, leading to somatosensory amplifications. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to explore the association between psychoimmunological and electrophysiological parameters with the clinical profile of patients with BDD.
