Introduction
Basic sanitation, which includes solid waste management, constitutes a clear public health issue in Brazil, and the state of Amazonas presents some of the worst indicators. The objective of this study was to describe the landscape of solid waste management in the state of Amazonas in light of the New Sanitation Legal Framework (Law No. 14.026/2020).
