Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive cognitive decline and behavioral impairments. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is an endogenous gasotransmitter that exerts pleiotropic neuromodulatory, anti-inflammatory, cytoprotective, and trophic effects within the central nervous system.
