Background
Heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) is a common gynaecological problem that may substantially impair quality of life and lead to health complications. Tranexamic acid (TXA) is a non-hormonal antifibrinolytic agent used during menstruation to reduce menstrual blood loss.
