Abstract
Diabetes melitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) due to impaired insulin secretion or action. Instability of blood glucose levels is caused by pancreatic dysfunction and the use of insulin or oral glycemic drugs, resulting in the amount of insulin produced by pancreatic beta cells being unable to meet normal metabolic needs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of Diabetic Foot Exercise as a Non-pharmacological Therapy in Reducing Blood Glucose Levels in Type 2 Diabetes melitus Patients in the Tembelang Community Health Center Working Area, Jombang Regency. This research method used a Pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pre-Posttest Design. The study was conducted in June 2026 in the Tembelang Community Health Center Working Area, Jombang Regency. The sample consisted of 36 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using an observation sheet and analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed a decrease in blood glucose levels to an average of 242.69 mg/dL. Diabetic Foot Exercise as a Non-pharmacological Therapy is effective in reducing blood glucose levels in Type 2 Diabetes melitus sufferers.
