Abstract / Summary
Superficial acral fibromyxoma (SAF) is a benign nodular tumour with distinct histopathologic findings that distinguish it from other soft-tissue tumours, though clinical findings can be deceptively similar to other pathologies. With prompt recognition, including histologic confirmation and treatment, SAF can be successfully managed despite diagnostic challenges. We present the case of a 45-year-old female who was diagnosed with SAF based on histopathology findings, despite clinical similarity with onychomatricoma (OM). The subtle diagnostic clues are highlighted. This case adds to the limited literature describing this rare entity.
