Abstract
The urgency of this research lies in the need to assess the extent to which perceptions of food security and nutritional quality in the Free Nutritious Meal Program influence parental satisfaction, considering that this program is one of the government's important strategies in reducing stunting, improving child health, and ensuring the sustainability of implementation at the regional level. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between perceptions of food safety and perceptions of nutritional quality of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) with parental satisfaction in Weru, Sukoharjo. The method used is a quantitative cross-sectional design. The independent variables in this study are perceptions of food safety and nutritional quality, the dependent variable in this study is parental satisfaction. The population in this study was 1156 parents of MBG participants in Karangtengah, Weru, the total sample was 92 parents of children receiving MBG. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Data collection through a tested questionnaire and data analysis included descriptive statistics (frequency) and the Chi-square bivariate test to test the association with a significance level of α = 0.05 and the calculation of the Prevalence Ratio (PR) to measure the strength of the association. Association analysis showed a significant relationship between food security perception and satisfaction (Asymptotic Significance two-sided = 0.000; p < 0.001; X2 = 62.601) and between nutritional quality perception and satisfaction (Asymptotic Significance two-sided = 0.000; p < 0.001; X2 = 52.611), indicating a strong positive association in this data. In conclusion, food security perception and nutritional quality perception of the MBG program in Weru are significantly associated with parental satisfaction; It is recommended that food safety monitoring, written nutritional standards, and transparent communication with parents be strengthened to maintain and increase satisfaction.
