Integrated Transcriptomic and Proteomic Profiling Reveals Distinct Immune Signatures of Equine Asthma
By Alfituri OA, Parkinson N, Kurian D and 3 others.
Abstract
Background
Mild-to-moderate equine asthma (MMEA) is a performance-limiting condition in horses characterized by distinct subtype-dependent lower airway inflammatory cell profiles (eosinophilic and/or mastocytic and/or neutrophilic). Despite its high prevalence, the aetiopathogenic pathways underpinning each MMEA endotype remain poorly understood with limited therapeutic options available.
