Abstract
Background
Scleral-fixated intraocular lens implantation is an important treatment option for aphakic eyes with inadequate capsular support. Accurate positioning of the intraocular lens is essential because intraocular lens (IOL) decentration, tilt, and lenticular astigmatism can affect the visual outcome. Scheimpflug imaging provides a non-invasive method for objective assessment of the IOL position and the anterior segment parameters. We aimed to use Scheimpflug camera for comparing the IOL centration, tilt, and lenticular astigmatism of the scleral fixated IOL using the flanged haptic technique versus the double-flanged 6/0 polypropylene suture technique.
