Abstract
The research aimed to verify the effectiveness of a program based on psychological immunity to reduce the perceived social stigma with mothers of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The research sample consisted of (5) mothers of children with ADHD, whose chronological ages ranged between (30-40) years, with a mean age of (31.8) and a standard deviation of (0.84). The research instruments included: the Psychological Immunity Scale, the Perceived Social Stigma Scale, and the counseling program (all developed by the researcher). The researcher utilized the quasi-experimental method. The results revealed the effectiveness of the developed program in improving psychological immunity and reducing perceived social stigma among mothers of children with ADHD. Furthermore, this effectiveness was maintained at the follow-up measurement conducted a month and a half after the post-measurement.
