Abstract
Objective
To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of hysteroscopy-guided biopsy compared with blind dilatation and curettage (D&C) in postmenopausal women having abnormal hemorrhage . Patients and Methods: This prospective randomized interventional study involved 102 women after menopause with greater than 4 mm of endometrial thickness. Patients have been split into two equal groups at random: Group A received hysteroscopy-guided biopsy, while Group B underwent blind dilation and curettage (D&C). All specimens underwent histological analysis. The primary outcomes encompassed detection rates of endometrial hyperplasia and cancer, sample adequacy, and diagnostic concordance.
