Abstract
Abstract Background : Infections, including SARS-CoV-2, may increase stroke risk, but the roles of COVID-19 severity, vaccination, and comparison with other respiratory infections remain unclear. This study examined the association between COVID-19, its severity, and vaccination status with the incidence of new-onset total stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and ischemic stroke in a nationwide sample of adults aged ≥50 years.
