Lifestyle Factors and Soluble RAGE in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Undergoing IVF: Associations with Micronutrient Intake and Physical Activity
By Emami N, Moini A and Zolfaqhari Z.
Abstract
Abstract Background: Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) contribute to the pathophysiology of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) through activation of the AGE–RAGE pathway. Soluble RAGE (sRAGE), a circulating decoy receptor with anti-inflammatory properties, may be influenced by dietary factors and physical activity. This study investigated the associations of micronutrient intake and physical activity with serum and follicular fluid sRAGE levels in women with PCOS undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
