Current evidence on functional capacity in Chagas disease: a systematic review protocol
By Lucas Fróis Fernandes De Oliveira, Whesley Tanor Silva, Mauro Felippe Felix Mediano and 2 others.
Abstract
This systematic review aims to synthesize the available evidence on functional capacity in adults with Chagas disease. It will examine the methods used to assess functional capacity and its associations with clinical characteristics, differences between patient groups, effects of rehabilitation or other interventions, prognostic value, and measurement properties. Observational, interventional, and methodological studies will be considered. Searches will be conducted in Ovid/MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, and LILACS, complemented by manual reference screening and citation tracking when appropriate. The evidence will be organized into five domains: association, comparison, intervention and rehabilitation, prognosis, and measurement and validation.
