Smooth versus Textured Implants and the Influence of Incision Approach on Complications in Primary Cosmetic Breast Augmentation: An Updated Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Protocol for an updated systematic review and meta-analysis comparing complications of smooth versus textured implants and of different incision approaches (inframammary, periareolar, transaxillary, transumbilical) in adult cisgender women undergoing primary cosmetic breast augmentation. The review follows PRISMA-P 2015 and PRISMA 2020 and is registered in PROSPERO (CRD[pending]). This project will host the full protocol, and, upon publication, the extracted data and analysis code.
