Abstract / Summary
AbstractObjectives: This study aimed to compare complete blood count parameters between patients with ectopic pregnancy and those with normal intrauterine pregnancy and to evaluate the potential utility of inflammation-based indices in the early differential diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.Materials and methods: This retrospective study included 39 patients diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy and 51 with normal intrauterine pregnancy who presented to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Aksaray Training and Research Hospital between December 2018 and January 2022. Demographic characteristics, complete blood count parameters, and derived inflammatory indices, including the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio and lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio, were compared between groups. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed for parameters showing significant differences. Results: Gestational age at presentation was significantly lower in the ectopic pregnancy group (p
