Background
Postoperative delirium (POD) is a frequent and serious complication, particularly in older adults undergoing major surgery. Pharmacologic prevention remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate whether perioperative ketamine or esketamine reduces POD incidence and to explore optimal administration strategies.
