Abstract / Summary
Extract The management of severe asthma has been redefined by targeted biologic therapies [1], changing not only patient outcomes but also the way treatment success is conceptualized and measured [2]. Traditional frameworks categorized clinical benefit from non-response to response, mainly based on exacerbation reduction and oral corticosteroid (OCS) sparing [3, 4]. Recently, remission has emerged as a more ambitious treatment goal, integrating absence of exacerbations and OCS use with adequate symptom control and preserved or stable lung function [5, 6].
