Clinical–pharmacodynamic discordance in pemphigus: beyond conventional anti-desmoglein ELISA
By Aparna Palit, Tarun Sharma and Avik Mondal.
Abstract
The ADDRESS trial showed a disconnect between anti-desmoglein antibody titres and clinical disease activity. We discuss whether conventional ELISA titres adequately reflect pathogenic antibody activity and suggest that functional or epitope-resolved assays may provide complementary information in future studies of FcRn blockade.
