The Australian Society for Microbiology is proud to recognise the recipients of the 2026 ASM Summer Research Awards.These awards play an impor tant role in supporting emerging scien tists by providing opportunities to participate in research, gain practical experience, and engage with leading micro biology laboratories around the country.The 2026 pro gram attracted an impressive number of applications, highlighting the continued strength and diversity of Aus tralia's next generation of microbiologists.The ASM is delighted to have awarded nine students this year: Isabelle Wann from New South Wales-Australian Capital Territory;
