The European Optical Society Annual Meeting, EOSAM, is a major international scientific conference covering all aspects of optics and photonics, through plenary and topical sessions, tutorials, and an industry exhibition.EOSAM was held this year, in 2026, in Tampere, Finland, organized by the European Optical Society (EOS) in close collaboration with Photonics Finland, Tampere University, and the PREIN Flagship.EOSAM included a high-quality program organized around eight topical meetings, five focused sessions, posters, and other special sessions.508 attendees enjoyed over 370 presentations during the week.An exhibition area for the photonics industry was set up at the heart of the conference, running from 25-27 August at the Scandic Rosendahl Conference Center.Fully sold out ahead of the conference, it brought together 23 companies from across the optics and photonics industry, generously supported by Gold Sponsor AeroDIODE and Silver Sponsors Thorlabs, Finnish SpecialGlass, Zurich Instruments, and Light Conversion.A wide range of optical technologies, from components to complete systems, was presented to meet the needs of both fundamental research and industrial applications, alongside the Exhibitor Pitch Session, where several exhibitors took the stage to showcase their latest innovations.This year EOSAM included these sessions and topical meetings: TOM-Biophotonics
