Does pre-stenting improve outcomes in flexible ureteroscopy with Direct In-Scope Suction (DISS)? A prospective multicentre global diss study from the EAU Section of Endourology

Conclusions:In this large prospective multicentre FURSL with DISS cohort, pre-stenting improved technical access and surgeon-reported intra-operative SFR but did not improve CT-confirmed SFR or reduce complications.Stone volume remained the only independent predictor of SFR.These findings suggest that the role of routine pre-stenting before FURSL with DISS may be limited.
