In their paper "Association between depressive symptoms, CRP and metabolism-related indicators in Han Chinese patients with chronic schizophrenia" (SCHRES-D-26-00157), Sun and colleagues investigated the prevalence of depressive symptoms in Han Chinese individuals with schizophrenia and examined their associations with clinical features, metabolic parameters, and inflammatory biomarkers.Their findings suggest that depressive symptoms in schizophrenia may be associated with greater symptom severity, insomnia, extrapyramidal side effects, and elevated inflammatory markers.
