Five-Year Outcomes With the Allegra Versus the Evolut Self-Expanding Valve in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

Abstract
The Evolut platform (Medtronic, Minneapolis, Minnesota) is the most extensively studied self-expanding transcatheter heart valve. Evidence for the more recently introduced supra-annular Allegra valve (Biosensors International, Singapore) derives largely from single-arm registries with follow-up of three years or less,1,2 and direct comparisons between the Allegra and other contemporary self-expanding platforms remain limited.3 Therefore, we aimed to compare procedural, 30-day and up to five-year outcomes of the two platforms.
