Abstract
Background
To investigate the morphological and structural abnormality in the macular and peripapillary regions among children aged 7–12 years with high myopia.
Methods
This cross-sectional study included 130 children in HM group (spherical equivalent refraction [SER]≤−6.00D or axial length [AL]≥26 mm) and 136 age-matched controls (Non-HM group). Morphological and structural changes in the macular and peripapillary regions were assessed by fundus photography and SS-OCT.
