Abstract
ABSTRACT Introduction: An increase in body mass index (BMI) is associated with higher intraperitoneal pressure (IPP), which in turn negatively influences ultrafiltration (UF). However, BMI itself is not directly related to UF, contrary to expectations. We further explored these relationships by partitioning down BMI into fat tissue index (FTI), lean tissue index (LTI), and overhydration, assessed by bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS).
