Membranous-pattern Nephropathy with Monotypic IgA1-κ Deposits: A Rare Case Report
By Xiaotao Ma, Xiangfei Yao, Tian Yao and 9 others.
Abstract
Membranous nephropathy (MN) is a common cause of adult nephrotic syndrome, characterized by the deposition of subepithelial immune complexes1. In primary MN, these complexes are typically polytypic, composed of polyclonal immunoglobulins. Rare cases of MN with light chain–restricted deposits have been reported 2,3. In contrast to Randall-type monoclonal immunoglobulin deposition disease, which features punctate deposits along the inner glomerular basement membrane, these patients exhibit membranous granular deposits.
