Impact of discontinuation of serum antibody test reagents and COVID-19 pandemic on the diagnosis of amebiasis: A Japanese nationwide observational study
By Yoshiro Hadano, Hirotake Mori and Satoshi Ohno.
Abstract
We evaluated the impact of serum antibody test discontinuation and the Coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic on reported amebiasis cases in Japan using National Epidemiological Surveillance of Infectious Diseases data and interrupted time-series analysis. Both factors were independently associated with reduced case notifications.
