Abstract
In Sweden, the annual incidence of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) is approximately 175 newly diagnosed cases [1]. At Karolinska University Hospital, the internal protocol of treatment for all patients except those with stage I disease consists of primary surgical resection and postoperative radiotherapy (PORT) to the primary site combined with bilateral elective neck irradiation.
