Abstract
Transfemoral Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) has emerged as a standard treatment option for patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis. However, complex vascular anatomies due to peripheral artery disease or previous aorto-femoral bypass surgery can pose significant challenges for both access and subsequent closure of the access site. In this report, we describe a case of TAVI performed via direct puncture of an aorto-femoral Dacron bypass graft and demonstrate the feasibility of vascular closure using a MANTA (Teleflex) device, an anchored collagen-plug vascular closure device.
