Abstract
By reviewing a case of enteroatmospheric fistula (EAF), which is extremely difficult to manage in clinical practice, an attempt was made to find a reasonable management of this type of disease in order to reduce the suffering caused to the patient by the EAF. In this case, the patient survived well at 6 months of follow-up after the treatment. An analysis of the literature concludes that the application, which is the use of a biopatch and pacifier to seal the leak during negative pressure wound therapy and continuous drainage through double catheterization cannula for the treatment of enteroatmospheric fistula, can serve as a reference for similar practices. It improves the patient's quality of life and allows time for definitive operation.
